Staff shortages piling pressure on workforce, threatening proper functioning of key services

Jeremy Hunt, chairman of the health and social care committee, has said the government and NHS needs to put in a long-term plan to improve staffing levels and reduce pressure on staff.

Maybe if our govt hadn't bothered with Brexit, many qualified people who came to work for the NHS from abroad would still be here.

Maybe if we hadn’t abandoned the policy of no tuition fees we would have more students applying . Maybe if we paid a reasonable wage we would retain more staff. Likewise if we had more bearable working conditions then we would have less sick leave. Or how about a Pm who cares

Most of NHS staff have long memories. and Hunt as Health Minister is not forgotten.🙄
