A mother hired a stranger to pose as her disabled son to try to steal his trust fund, police say.
The court initially released $200,000 to Yvonne and Ford, but an attorney and paralegal who oversaw the fund became suspicious before the pair was able to get their hands on the check. Finally, after months of searching, Lee was found on Friday with extended family in a location that police did not disclose, citing an open investigation. According to police, Lee does not want to be placed in alternate care, so he will continue to stay with family members.
