Cops responded to a report of two kids suffering cardiac arrest at a home on Shenandoah Drive in Lakewood, New Jersey, shortly before 5pm on Tuesday, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.
Elkins was charged with two counts of murder, one count of possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon, said Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer In a virtual court appearance from Ocean County Jail’s medical facility on Wednesday afternoon, Elkins faced Judge Scott Basen. She has a detention hearing slated for Monday morning and her defense lawyer is Mitch Ansell. Elkins is married, according to jail records obtained by NJ.com.
