YouTubeGabby Petito, a 22-year-old YouTube vlogger from Florida, has gone missing while travelling around the US with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie. The couple set out on their trip from New York at the start of July in a converted camper van.But Petito's family became concerned over her whereabouts after losing contact with her last month. When Petito last spoke to her mother in late August, the couple were staying in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, but she has not been seen since checking out of a hotel with Laundrie in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 24 August. Her family reported her missing to police at the start of September.

Following his fiancé's disappearance, Laundrie returned alone to his parental home in North Port, Florida, in the van he and Petito had been travelling in.A spokesperson for the North Port Police Department confirmed they had seized the van over the weekend. Speaking to

Nomadic StatikAccording toInsider, police are unsure whether a crime has been committed, and investigators still want to speak with Laundrie."Right now we don't have a crime. We have a concern of a crime," the spokesperson said, before confirming that the van"could be a key piece of evidence."

The spokesperson also revealed that the van in question is Petito's, and that"it was important for us [North Port Police Department] to take that vehicle and to preserve potential evidence."He added that the van would"be processed accordingly, as far as fingerprinting and other types of forensic processes."

Alongside the North Port Police Department, the New York Suffolk County Police Department is leading the case with the help of the FBI. As the search for Petito continues, her family have urged members of the public to come forward with any information that might be of interest.

Yosemite National Park is over 800-miles away from where Petito was last sighted.Petito, who is five foot five, has blonde hair, blue eyes and a tattoo that reads 'let it be' on her right arm.
