From Monday vulnerable 'shielders' will be allowed to meet one other person outside, as lockdown restrictions are eased

There was no immediate rule change for those vulnerable people shielding themselves, with the advice not to leave their homes initially remaining in place until June 30.

An elderly lady at her home while receiving urgent supplies from Bucks Angels C-19 Community Group in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire The PM said: ‘I want to thank everyone who has followed the shielding guidance – it is because of your patience and sacrifice that thousands of lives have been saved.‘I do not underestimate just how difficult it has been for you, staying at home for the last 10 weeks, and I want to pay tribute to your resilience.

People commenting like he is sending people into peoples homes and forcing them to go out, it is up to the person if they want to go out or not, it is just an option if they want to, if people don’t feel comfortable they just carry on isolating?

Please don't do it - stay safe, just be patient.

Why What has changed to make it safe NOTHING!!!

I'm sure they're thrilled that BoJo has now decided to send them out to become infected.

Shielders in England to be allowed outdoors againSome restrictions on vulnerable people shielding from coronavirus are to be eased after 10 weeks. So with infections still at a ridiculously high level it’s fine for shielders to go outside. Were the government not content killing all the people in care homes they now want to add even more to the death total Allowed? That’s rather arse about face - shouldn’t they have been permitted this first, THEN the rest of us permitted relaxed rules once the death toll fell significantly? Freeing up everyone else then saying to shielders “hey, now go out, have fun!” is a pretty dumb way to go about this.
