The transfer window is yet to click into gear for Leeds United, with outgoings continuing to dominate the agenda. Financial restraints mean Daniel Farke must bide his time while the after-affects of that Wembley defeat play out in the early weeks of the summer window.
Liam Millar signs If Leeds have to find a replacement for Summerville then they need look no further than Canada international Millar. Just ask Archie Gray. The winger had an impressive season on loan at Preston North End from Swiss side Basel, having moved from Liverpool in a £1.3m deal in 2021. The 22-year-old contributed a staggering 18 assists in all competitions for Farke's men last season, as well as scoring eight goals, and featured in 51 games. That alone tells you how important he is to this Leeds side. The Whites have been linked with the likes of Callum O'Hare this summer, and the former Coventry man would be an excellent addition, especially on a free transfer.
In the potential absence of Gnonto and Summerville, Leeds will need the 26-year-old to again be an important player next season. He can provide vital attacking width down the right-hand side, and if Leeds sign Liam Millar on the opposite flank then they could have one of the most potent wing duos in the league.
Many would argue that is because he has not had the time on the pitch to start to build relationships with other creative forces in the Leeds attack. Pre-season will be vital as he looks the stake his claim, but the 20-year-old Spaniard's chance will surely come soon.
