Polish for Windows Spotlight and tabs for Notepad in latest Insiders build

Microsoft is working on new looks for the Windows Spotlight feature and redesigns for the graphics settings page as part of its latest Windows 11 Preview build.

Microsoft uses the Windows Insider program to get feedback from developers and license holders who get pre-release builds of the operating systems to test. The different options will continue to include such features as the ability for the user to hover over the icon on the desktop as well as right-clicking and double-clicking on it to get information about what they're seeing.

They noted that Insider members in the Dev Channel will see different treatment options on their PC screens from others and all will be shown only in English.

Microsoft pushing update to count unsupported Office installMicrosoft is checking everyone's bags for unsupported Office installs Reason 2749 to move to LibreOffice, which focuses on giving you a free (as in beer, and freedom) office suite, and not trying to coerce you into buying more stuff 😉 Let them count and realice how far they are from wanted product. After a wave of layoffs, 343 studio head declares 'Halo and the Master Chief are here to stay'Despite losing an undisclosed number of developers as part of the Microsoft layoffs, 343 declared it will continue to deliver 'more of what makes Halo great.' 343 has never delivered what makes Halo great. The Master Chief Collection is the only thing 343 has released that was good. The worst game in it is also their game. Halo 5 was worse than 4, and Infinite worse than 5. If they make a worse game than Infinite, I hope Xbox replaces them with somebody else or trash the IP Thinking you can ignore all criticism and disagreement and just charge ahead regardless is never a good long term strategy.

Phil Spencer tells Xbox employees layoffs were ‘painful’ | VGCMicrosoft’s head of gaming, Phil Spencer, has addressed this week’s round of job cuts at the company, telling staff they were “painful choices”. That extra cash they’ll save up isn’t painful though 😁 If the situation at Microsoft is really so bad as Phil Spencer claims (last quarter $17.2 billion net profit) then where is his voluntary pay cut amid layoffs at Bethesda, 343 Industries and The Coalition? Should've take a pay cut before shrinking XGS which is already a tragedy on itself.
