Obviously nobody's claiming that the victim is responsible for the assault itself, that would be absurd; the perpetrator is responsible for the assault. But it's possible for the victim to be responsible for putting themselves in a situation where assault is more likely.

The only ones upset with this are those who have a problem grasping what she said. Comprehensive reading, along with basic empathy, seems to be a lost art these days.
