The Ashes winner is accused of abusing some of his Yorkshire team-mates in 2009. Vaughan, who has lost television roles since the allegations were made, denies the charge against him.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan is due to discover his fate on Friday from the cricket disciplinary commission that heard accusations he racially abused Yorkshire team-mates.

Sky News has been told the verdict is due to be published following hearings a month ago when Vaughan appeared to defend himself against the charge., Adil Rashid, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and Ajmal Shahzad before a match in 2009.Vaughan is alleged to have told his Yorkshire team-mates:"There's too many of you lot, we need to have a word about that."

The case has led to Vaughan, England's 2005 Ashes-winning captain, losing roles as a television pundit.
