Michael Gove has escalated the government’s war of words with Andy Burnham by accusing the Greater Manchester mayor of risking lives by opting for “press conferences and posturing” rather than agreeing to new coronavirus rules.
Jesus, the nerve of him. Breathtaking.
That's great coming from this shapeshifting c♦nt.
Coke snorting reptile.
He is spot on! Starma has brought in the American style politics, whereby the Labour Party will pour negativity over everything that the opposition does, and they will try and stop the opposition from achieving anything they wish to achieve! This style of politics will stifle!
It's like Gove has no clue that Mcr has been in these restrictions since July. Going into tier 3 isn't going to control the virus as the centralised test and trace system is shambolic. If the Govt wanted to sort this out they'd be giving LA's the money to manage it locally.
Olympic level gaslighting from Gove. Local MPs and elected officials are as one on this: the Northern regions are being scapegoated and deprived of resources as a smokescreen to hide the ineptitude & failures of National Government.
So, if I was living in Manchester, who would I trust more to have my best interests at heart? A Tory govt that shows no interest in the North, other than vague, hollow and undelivered promises to “level up”, or someone elected by me and my neighbours? Not too difficult....
Oh. michaelgove AndyBurnhamGM
This gets used a lot now. When someone is clearly in the right, and our leaders have nowhere to hide, morally, they say it's posturing; hindsight; done for political gain; politicking etc
From the man whose gov't got lambasted for: '...press releases and posturing' by the Speaker? The projection just pins you to the wall.
Andy Burnham is doing far worse than posturing - he is pushing unnecessary suffering on people. Ironically his diabolical behaviour is following the govt's - Labour as a whole is not far behind. Our political leaders are pathetic!
Because that is what Mr Burnham is doing, except the blinkered Guardian can't see it
I mean, if anyone knows about posturing...
Oh Hollow man. Oh king of vacuum postures. Such vomit inducing hypocrisy.
We’ve made this Government unaccountable for everything.
Gove is the last person to be trusted & Boris knows that!
man who has postured over everything he has ever been involved in ... 🙄
It's for money he's not for working class, as if anyone going to get enough to be of any use. He wants the whole country to lockdown, permanently no doubt. You go Argos now it's like your a criminal. 'PUT YOUR RECEIPT ON TABLE AND STAND BACK 2M WITH YOU HANDS YOUR HEAD!'
Don’t trust Gove, watching his performance with Marr this morning , he proves himself to be a habitual liar. He lives in a different reality to the rest of the country. Such a lightweight compared to Andy Burham.
cut off world nicest cat - post pchichiatry russia toxic model- 5 year henger for eu peoples partyl
Andy Burnham is doing a great job for the people of Greater Manchester by protecting their welfare both financially and health-wise. It's may come as a surprise to myopic Tories that local Tory MPs are supporting him. Why didn't Gove mention this? Just who is playing politics?
Strange. Andy Burnham being pilloried by Gove yet he seems to be asking to be treated the same as Liverpool and Lancashire who have apparently been given extra funding. Who is being belligerent here. As ever, government not really listening!
I'm not a Gove fan, but I do think Burnham is posturing. The longer he delays the further this virus spreads and the harder it will be to tackle. He has to think lives, not just money.
Posturing being Michael 'we hold all the cards' Gove's field of expertise.
When it comes to posturing MichaelGove leads the field. I suspect he's projecting.

When it comes to posturing MichaelGove leads the field. I suspect he's projecting.
Truth Twister in Chief...
Burnham doesn't believe Manchester should go into Tier 3. But he'll allow it if the government give him enough cash. Make of that what you will...
