QPR ‘hugely disappointed’ as Michael Beale confirmed as Rangers manager

Beale, who was previously an assistant to Steven Gerrard at Ibrox, returns to Glasgow having left his role as QPR boss.Upon confirming Beale’s appointment on a contract until the summer of 2026, Rangers declared him as “undoubtedly one of the most sought-after young managers in British football”.

“Indeed, in his previous time at Rangers he tirelessly supported manager Steven Gerrard and the technical staff in working towards winning title number 55 in 2021, while the club, under Gerrard, was relaunched on the European stage and built a superb reputation once there.

as his reasons for staying with QPR, who he joined in the summer. However, a matter of weeks later he’s taken the Rangers job.GETTY “The start to the season we have made, coupled with very attractive football being played, gave us cause for optimism as we looked to build on the previous three seasons.QPR CEO Lee Hoos said: “The search for Mick’s replacement doesn’t start now – as a club we are always updating a short-list of potential candidates so that we are ready for a situation such as this, and we will be moving quickly to make an appointment.“Mick helped us move the club forward – and we are grateful for that.

I think there needs to be some realism to all this . Beale declined wolves because he knew he wasn’t premierleague level. As soon as QPRs form had dropped and he didn’t know what to do, he knew he wasn’t championship level. Maybe (just maybe) hes realised the SPL is his level.

More chance of a medal in the Scottish Conference I suppose

After his committed to QPR statement after the Wolves speculation why wouldn't they be disappointed? Having said that, he has taken 1 point out of the last possible 15 and managed to drop them out of the playoff places so it might turn out to be a good thing for them.

A backwards step to the SPL is a ludicrous career move.

Odd

Stayer my arse

👏👏👏👏👏👏

He ha Dunne well to get out of that shit club

Rangers have messed this up ...

He gone from Championship, A Premier League job offer to Rangers in Scotland's Premier, May just be me but a downgrade in job rather than a upgrade.

Fucking abysmal appointment
