The National Diversity Awards announced their 2023 shortlist of nominees featuring a range of local organisations and celebrities.
The ceremony, annually held in Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral, highlights positive role models and organisations with the aim to empower and inspire diverse communities across the UK. Recognising over 1,000 shortlisted nominees, with 148 diversity champions and community groups taking away the NDA accolade, the National Diversity Awards has shone a light on the work of some of the UK’s most inspirational diversity champions.The 2023 shortlist has just been announced with several Merseyside-based organisations receiving the honour.
Nominated for the community organisation award for disability, Stedychefs Learning Centre has been appreciated for its work which offers adults with disabilities and learning difficulties the same opportunities and experiences in the kitchen. A handful of local celebrities have also received attention, including Christine McGuinness and John Barnes, vying for the "celebrity of the year award".
