Mercedes feared missing Austrian GP if cars were damaged in sprint raceMercedes explains why it feared that one of its cars might have missed the AustrianGP last Sunday, if it was damaged in Saturday's sprint race, after two heavy crashes on Friday 🛠️ Here's the full F1 story ⬇️ **There is a huge amount of work that went into getting those cars ready** Aah, this would explain the sincere apology from Sir as he knew he had given the team extra work. Luckily both Sir and George paid back the team after Carlos and Perez's troubles **Both drivers lost their rear wings in the accidents, and the only spare example of the low-drag spec prepared for the Austrian GP was given to Hamilton, as he was further down the grid** Hahaha why would AMG even give an explanation when a 7 times champ deserves all cool bits **The fact that Mercedes had been left scrambling to have two cars ready to run on Saturday is a clear indication of how the cost cap has impacted ability of the top teams to produce sufficient spares** In other words the real F1 is no more bcoz F1 is supposed to be an arms race
