Two men found electrocuted on train tracks had been on top of a moving freight train before hitting overhead power cables.
Emergency services were called at around 1am on Thursday after a report of a casualty on the line in east London.British Transport Police believe they have identified the two men, who died after sustaining"serious electrical burns on the tracks" between Hackney Wick and Stratford. The 27-year-old man from Clerkenwell and 25-year-old man from Aberystwyth were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Sergeant David Taylor said the two men were believed to be on top of a moving freight train wagon when they hit overhead wires. However, it is not known how or why they were on top of the wagon and there was nothing to indicate they had been involved in graffitiing.
