'Nowhere else like it'

St Johns Precinct has been a staple part of Liverpool's retail environment for over 50 years. The building was first constructed in 1969 before it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II, to replace the previous building which stood in the city centre for over 140 years.

The photos have stirred many memories in those who hold the market close to their heart. Many said they had 'some great laughs' shopping and working there throughout the years. Gary Grant said: "I remember a butchers shop, Benyons I think it was - sausage and black pudding to die for!"
