The video sees two staff members at the Royal Armouries – the UK’s National Museum of Arms and Armour – choosing their weapons before settling on a scythe each and then going to battle with one another. The video is made in the style of one of the old video games and includes a health bar and glitchy movements for full effect.posted the video on its social media pages, writing: “Head down to the museum this half-term for nine days of rebellion, revolt, and revolution as we re-tell the tales of history's most famous uprisings...The video was posted to promote the free Rebels and Revolutionaries event, which lasts from this Saturday until Sunday, October 30.
A spokesperson for the museum said: “From Guy Fawkes to the French Resistance, rebels throughout history have had to beg, borrow, and steal weapons, and sometimes do without them altogether. When it comes to revolution and rebellion, improvisation was key, and now you can get involved.“Bring along your rebels to join the revolution and discover this area of homemade history.”
