Measles symptoms as Scottish cases of 'highly infectious disease' reach 11

Scotland's number of measles cases this year has reached 11 whilst a recent outbreak in London has risen to 74 total cases.

While there is yet to be an alert from any public health body on the current rise of cases, Community Pharmacy Scotland has released a symptoms list and how-to guide for those who have never encountered the highly contagious disease before. What is measles? Measles is a viral infection that is extremely contagious and can be spread among people very easily. NHS Inform confirmed that anyone can catch this disease if they haven't had it before or haven't yet been vaccinated against it.

When should I speak to a doctor about measles? According to NHS Inform, you should phone your GP in an urgent manner if any of the following applies:
