Kings Langley’s new bistro has shared photos of its fresh look as the owner reflected on a “whirlwind” first few days.launched on Saturday, June 1, after a complete revamp of what was formerly The Lunch Box sandwich shop in High Street.Owner Sam Cowham said they had served 200 customers on the opening day which he called"absolutely manic but brilliant".
“It’s been a whirlwind and there’s been lots of support from people that we know, which is great,” the 38-year old added.The bistro launched its full food menu on Monday offering favourites including bacon and sausage bagels, smashed avocado and salmon, and scrambled eggs for breakfast.There are also 10-hour smoked pastrami bagels and Italian club sandwiches for lunch, while he also debuted the chicken teriyaki and raw salmon poke bowl dishes yesterday .
The eatery has already received positive reviews online as one Kings Langley resident said it was “definitely worth a visit” for the “delicious” bagels, while another commented:"Trying out Matilda’s on the high street, would highly recommend it, yummy food!"We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
