A mass evacuation is reportedly underway after a huge fire ripped through a Laguna village complex in Spain’s Costa del Sol.
Images show flames engulfing the shopping and restaurant complex after the blaze broke out around 1.45pm on Saturday. The popular tourist site is close to a petrol station, sparking fears that an explosion could take place if the flames travel any further, according to The Olive Press. A level one emergency was declared at 3.20pm as three helicopters, a fire truck and 30 firefighters battle the flames.There are a number of paramedics on the scene. It is not known if anyone has been injured.An eyewitness from the scene told Global247news: ‘This is huge and could potentially be the biggest fire here for many years, firefighters are still continuing to arrive as well as many more aircraft carrying both water and firefighting foam.
