In the midst of a cost of living crisis people get innovative, and some are planning ahead for the cold weather and looking for alternatives to putting on the heating. One Martin Lewis fan has shared a tip that they say has already saved them when it comes to heating costs.

One thing that many parents are turning to, for themselves as well as their kids, is the Oodie.Essentially an Oodie is a wearable blanket - an oversized hooded sweatshirt with a fleece interior and an equally oversized kangaroo pocket.
Official Oodies are not cheap. Even in the current sale they'll set up back upwards of £60 for adult sizes with kids versions starting from £47 - although discount codes are on the site for first time purchases. However, the reviews speak for themselves. One shopper wrote: "BIG, fluffy, cuddly warm.. did I say BIG?". Another added: "I love that you can fit a hot water bottle in the pouch. Up yours, energy company! I'll be in my oodie if you need anything:).
