Martin Lewis explains exactly who will get £100 free cash from bank in coming days

Good news for customers of one high street bank! Martin Lewis has told them they may be in for an extra £100 within a few days. And the cash boost will affect 3.85 million bank account holders.

It’ll be paid to those who have both a current account and a mortgage or savings account with Nationwide.‘If you bank with Nationwide, you could get a free £100 paid into your account over the coming weeks as part of the building society’s returning ‘Fairer Share’ scheme. If you have either a FlexOne, FlexStudent or FlexGraduate account, Nationwide says you ‘must have received at least one payment in or made one payment out of your account during March 2024. Any charges or interest, or adjustments made to your account balance do not count.’

Do I need to apply for the £100? No, you won’t need to apply for the £100. It’ll be paid into your current account automatically by Nationwide. It’ll be paid into your Nationwide current account between Thursday 13 June and Friday 28 June. It will appear on your statement as ‘Nationwide Fairer Share Payment’.
