Although little has been revealed ahead of the new series, we know Married at First Sight is set to return to our screens this month with Jay, 31 from Lancashire to be one of the contestants to tie the knot. The sales manager will risk walking down the aisle to marry someone she’s never met.
Jay is known for being the funny one without trying. Her positivity and happy-go-lucky energy shines through in a group of people.She’s not afraid to take the mickey out of herself and not a lot phases her. Single for just a few months, Jay is looking for the right person to settle down with – she’s ideally looking for a cheeky chappy and someone who can make her laugh.
The hit Channel 4 show is set to return bigger than ever before with 36 episodes making it the longest series to date. The couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake. Channel 4 reports that after the ceremony and celebrations are over, true love is well and truly put to the test, as they embark on a luxurious honeymoon, before moving in with each other and their fellow couples. Relationships will be put under the microscope, by fellow brides and grooms at weekly dinner parties – as well as by the experts, at recurring commitment ceremonies, where couples choose whether they want to stay in or leave the process.
Across the process, the couples will be matched and guided by returning experts Melanie Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas.
