Mark Goldbridge has hit back at the ‘obsession’ for Erik ten Hag to be sacked and insists there is a bigger problem at Manchester United that needs to be solved.

You can’t say United need to beat a juggernaut for the manager to keep his job, that’s ridiculous. It’s been a very disappointing season for So I disagree. They may well sack Ten Hag because they’ve got these new owners, but that’s not the path I would go down.I don't subscribe to the view that it was embarrassing, how we won that game, and that beating Coventry on penalties was one of the lowest points.

It’s like something has changed in football, and certainly around the United fanbase, where people are very miserable about winning games of football. Man United have been bad for ten years, this ‘Man United way’ needs to be earned. Look at the way Arsenal play, look at the wayI enjoyed that Coventry result, because it’s the relief that we’ve won and, ultimately, I just want my team to win.

There are more losses to come, so I’m going to enjoy the wins at the moment, because that’s surely what supporting your club is all about.But, again, it’s celebration police, isn’t it? He shouldn’t do it and I think he knows he shouldn't have done it, but he just overreacted in the moment and he gets absolutely slated for it.
