, it was suggested that the summer break which Formula 1 now enters is the perfect opportunity for Ferrari, offering a chance to reset.

Focusing on the strategy side, Priestley says he has spoken to friends who formerly worked at Ferrari, all of which told him that there is no freedom or confidence when it comes to making strategical decisions.“I’m going to be honest, I don’t think the break is going to do them any good over the course of this particular season,” he said.

“So yes, the temperatures are different and that might have affected them a tiny bit, but it was all about strategy. “Ferrari chose to go onto that hard tyre later in the race. It was a disastrous decision. It ended any hope of Charles Leclerc finding his way to the front of this race at the chequered flag. And those decisions keep coming race after race.

You know there's a problem at Ferrari when even the Italian media is going against Ferrari and defending leclerc. They didn't defend alonso, they didn't defend Vettel in 2018 buy the situation is so bad now that they are on leclercs side
