Two people were arrested yesterday on suspicion of manslaughter, drugs and organised crime offences

Two people arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after the remains of four people were discovered at a mill in Oldham have been released on bail.

Both were held in custody and quizzed by detectives. In an update issued this morning, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "The two people arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, drugs and organised crime offences have now been bailed." The remains of four separate victims have now been uncovered at the site on Bower Street, following a devastating blaze at the mill in May. Partial human remains have been identified, through fingerprint analysis, as belonging to Uoc Van Nguyen from northern Vietnam.

Police believe they may have also been inside the mill at the time of the fire, despite crews at the time believing that nobody was inside. A major incident was declared by police and an investigation is continuing.
