A popular pasta restaurant has announced the closure of another one of its Manchester restaurants. Pasta pros Rigantoni's has confirmed its site in Ancoats will close for good this weekend.

Clarifying the situation, the restaurant which started as Sugo Pasta but was renamed Sud due a legal issue with a Glasgow restaurant, confirmed that customers didn't need to worry as they were working "24/7 behind the scenes" on their "most exciting pasta project to date".
"The hardest part is that we have failed not just ourselves, but more importantly our customers and our staff, and for this we are truly sorry. "Quite honestly it was simply to create unique, high quality southern Italian inspired dishes, with a small, deeply passionate and committed team, that cannot be found elsewhere. And this is what we want to breathe back into our Altrincham restaurant - to give you a product and a service that you and us can be proud of.
