Manchester 'faces 1930s-style homelessness' as eviction ban ends

Homelessness on the streets of Greater Manchester could reach levels not seen since the 1930s after a ban on evictions is ended by the government next week, Andy Burnham has warned.

I have been given no support by the government as a start up. Pumped my life savings in. Mrs on low NHS income and yet, I went out and mowed lawns. Delivered pizza, takeaways and even papers. Pricks like Burnham give zero fucks. Homelessness was a scaled problem before this.

I was force evicted last weekend by landlord. He began drilling the chimney out of my bedroom while I was still living in it. My only room. That is illegal. Dirt everywhere. He didn’t care. Police did nothing. Said it was civil. Dangerous.

We got lots of billionaires who could easily help but they are too greedy. They couldn't care less about human suffering. In other words they are bastards. Little... Ucks.

AndyBurnhamGM So city centres are being gentrified pushing up rental prices, this drives out those caught in the rental trap, but can’t afford the higher rent. This encourages “no fault” evictions so landlords can benefit from increased rents. More realistically affordable housing would help.
