Man who died in horror crash in Paisley named by police

We previously reported the incident took place on Gauze Street at the junction with Silk Street at around 8pm on Monday, April 1.

The crash involved a red Volkswagen Golf, a red Vauxhall Astra and an elderly man on a mobility scooter. 999 crews rushed to the scene and an 88-year-old man, who was riding the mobility scooter, was taken to hospital.Following the incident, the road was closed for seven hours to allow investigations to be carried out.
