Man walking in Snowdonia dies after falling from mountain

The incident occurred while he was walking with his two brothers on Bank Holiday Monday. He slipped and fell from the Y-Gully section of the 3,000ft mountain.

The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Service reported that his brothers immediately dialled 999. The oldest brother slipped and tumbled down the gully some distance, sustaining significant injuries.", reports North Wales Live.

"His two brothers were unable to descend so called 999 and asked for assistance. Several hill parties were dispatched and was tasked to help with the search." The walkers were found and helped direct team members to the location of the casualty. However, it was "evident" that he had not survived his injuries, according to Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Service.
