Manchester United youngster Finley McAllister said it was an 'unbelievable feeling' to have contributed to England Under-17s' eye-catching 10-0 win over New Caledonia in their World Cup opener on Saturday.
United midfielder McAllister, who has made six appearances for the Reds' Under-18s in the Under-18s Premier League so far this season, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists, stepped off the bench just past the hour mark with England already six goals to the good. He replaced Chelsea's Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny.
McAllister got himself on the scoresheet in the first minute of injury time, driving a low shot through a crowded penalty area into the bottom corner to complete the scoring and move England into double figures. It was a sweet strike from the youngster to score what was his first international goal.
