A man managed to track down his stolen coat from a bar in Manchester after attaching it to an AirTag.
The two-part videos showing the young males doing their own investigation into the theft have since gone viral. Recalling the night the coat went missing, he said: “We were about to go home and I went to go and get my coat which was on top of a chair with my friends’ coats and it wasn’t anywhere to be seen. I went up to the bar and asked the staff to check for it and they were very helpful and tried to find it but couldn’t.Instead of calling the police, Ben decided to try and get it back without any help. In the first video, Ben is seen behind the wheel of his car heading to Wigan as Henry films.
In a piece to the camera once back in the car, Henry says: “Story time so we got to the flat, went upstairs and no one was answering. We asked a few doors and no one was answering their doors and then one woman came out and she didn’t have much information and then Ben gave her his number just in case she figured out who it was.
Top news stories today Ben then comments: “Life lesson learnt. Don’t ever put your coat down when you go out in Manchester because you get people like that who just take them and that is why I AirTag my coats.”
