The alleged attacker has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm following the incident around 10am.The victim, who was stabbed in the arm, is being assessed in hospital after being transported by the London Ambulance Service.

Keira Renee, a journalist at the Financial Times, tweeted: "Was just waiting in line to enter.. Being told by police that it’s a large crime scene and that the museum will be closed until tomorrow."
