The man, aged in his 80s, was alone in his home

Police are appealing for information after a man allegedly forced his way into an elderly person’s home and ransacked the property. in Audley Drive, Beeston, when he heard a knock on his front door and front window at around 6.15pm on Wednesday, November 23.

He carried out an search of the living room before forcing the victim up the stairs where he again rifled through the man’s property. The burglar fled through the front door of the property after stealing cash and a mobile phone.Detective Sergeant Rob Palethorpe, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This must have been extremely upsetting for the victim and we are determined to find the man responsible.
