The motorist was travelling through Great Harwood this morning . The man in his 20's lost control of the vehicle on a bend and collided with a tree.
Police reported the crash happened around 4:45am on Hyndburn Road in the direction of Whalley Road. The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa from Blackburn was taken to hospital with minor injuries.The passenger inside the Corsa, also in his 20's and from Great Harwood, has been seriously hurt and is still in hospital. Police say he is in a serious condition.
Lancashire Constabulary are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information. This includes and CCTV or dashcam footage from the area. Sgt Martin Wilcock, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: This collision has left a young man with some very serious injuries and I would appeal to anyone who saw the collision itself, or the Corsa in the moments before the collision, or who has any dashcam footage, to get in touch.”
