An investigation has been launched after an ambulance was involved in a fatal crash.The man, 45, understood to be the driver, died of his injuries at the scene.It was involved in a collision with the Seat Leon in Lichfield Road, Wednesfield, shortly after 10.05pm on Monday.
Two workers who were on board were also taken to hospital. Their ‘injuries are not believed to be serious’.The Midlands police force has launched a probe into the circumstances around the tragedy. Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from West Midlands Police’s serious collision investigation unit said: ‘A man has sadly lost his life and we’re now working to establish the full circumstances around the collision.
‘We’re keen to hear from anybody who was in the area at the time and may have information which can assist our inquiries.’
