Alexander Lewis, 29, has been ordered to pay £11,000 by magistrates after pleading guilty to being drunk on a Jet2 aircraft. Court documents show Lewis, of George Street in Cleethorpes, was drunk on the aircraft on September 8 this year.
A not guilty plea had been entered, but this was changed to guilty when he appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on September 21.A separate charge of assault, said to also taken place at Leeds Bradford Airport, was dismissed. Lewis was ordered to pay a £10,000 fine and £1,000 to fund victim services after admitting to being drunk in an aircraft. He was ordered to pay this amount by October 19 this year.
