Merseyside Police were called to The Nags Head pub on Green Lane in Thornton at around 7.30pm on Sunday, March 10. It followed a report a man exposed himself to a woman outside the pub and punched her in the face.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the woman, aged in her 50s, needed hospital treatment to facial injuries. Police said since the incident, officers have carried out extensive enquiries.READ MORE: Missing woman was last seen in Liverpool city centre Detectives have now issued CCTV images of a man who they believe could have information. Merseyside Police described the incident as a "nasty assault" which was "completely unprovoked".
Detective Constable Adam Smith said: “For a man to expose himself to a woman and then assault her is totally unacceptable and won’t be tolerated. I am appealing to the man featured in the images, or anyone who recognises him to come forward. We believe he could hold information to help our continuing enquiries.”
