He was also involved in a tragic car accident on New Year’s Day which killed one of his friends, and left him with a fractured fibula. Chris Conway endured a tough childhood, and was badly injured in a serious car crash earlier this year. But he has doggedly kept dancing on his local streets to help cheer his neighbors up But he pushed through, and now hopes to open up a dance school that will provide free classes to local children.
Centreville resident Lisa Abrahams is among those who love watching Conway’s skilful performances, and told WUSA: ‘I’ve seen Chris dancing around for the last two years on the streets…and had to get to know him and find out what the background was ‘He brings so much joy and laughter and happiness to people that I felt like we needed to as a community to pay him back for what he’s given us.’
