And despite swapping the Etihad for Barcelona last summer, the midfielder has kept in touch with the charity and organised a special trip for three City fans and their families to watch a Barcelona game and then meet him the next morning at the training ground. Kayley Davies from Tameside, Daniel Wilmott from Stockport, and Katie Richardson from Warrington all travelled with their support teams and got to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The trio got shirts signed by Gundogan while they were over there and have all bonded over their common interests established through the player. It has led to more interest in going to City games, as well as further plans to meet up.
