Man City could secure transfer windfall as Liverpool 'target Leroy Sane deal'

Former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has been tipped for a surprise return to the Premier League.

There is a growing feeling that the winger, who joined Liverpool in 2017, will make the switch to the Gulf nation, leaving Liverpool in need of a replacement. The 31-year-old has been nothing short of outstanding since returning to England six years ago, plundering almost 200 goals in just north of 300 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side.

If Liverpool plan to top that fee by signing Sane, who joined Bayern in July 2020 on a five-year deal, it will be of particular interest to City. That is because, as reported by the Manchester Evening News at the time, the Blues inserted a 10 per cent sell-on clause in the deal that saw the winger return to Germany.
