A man has been arrested after a smash which has left a person fighting for their life with two more injured. Emergency services were called around 9pm last night to Halliwell Road, Bolton, to reports of three cars involved in a crash.
Two people who had to be cut out of one of the vehicles were also taken to hospital. However, they sustained minor injuries.Police have arrested a man on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He remains in police custody for questioning. A GMP spokesman said: "At 9pm last night Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision between three vehicles on Halliwell Road, Bolton. A vehicle travelling along Halliwell Road towards Moss Bank Way is believed to have collided with a second vehicle turning onto Halliwell Road, and a third stationary, unoccupied vehicle.
