Officers launched a probe after the incident at Barr's Brae near to John Wood Street, at around 3.30am on Sunday November 13. A 44-year-old man has since been arrested and cops say enquiries are ongoing. Police cordoned off the scene yesterday and remained in the area for most of the day while they carried out their investigation.
A set of stairs nearby between Princes Street and Springhill Road was taped off.
