A man has been arrested over a fight where tear gas was released on the London Underground.
A number of people were treated by paramedics after inhaling the gas, also known as CS gas, which can cause a burning sensation around the eyes and difficulty in breathing. The incident on Saturday morning started after a fight broke out between a group of people on a train carriage at Oxford Circus station in central London.
The arrested man, 24, from London, is believed to be from one of the groups involved in the fight and was arrested on suspicion of affray and administering poison with intent to injure or annoy.British Transport Police said CS gas was used, ‘hitting a number of bystanders’, who were later treated at the scene by paramedics for coughing and lack of breath.A man has been arrested in connection with a fight on the London Underground where CS gas was released.
