Flights have resumed at Spain's fourth largest travel hub, but passengers should still plan ahead.

Brits heading to or from Majorca are being urged to check that their flight is still going ahead after a storm closed its only airport.

While operations have resumed, officials have asked for patience from incoming and outgoing passengers, who are reminded to plan ahead as there is still a risk of impacted journeys. An airport spokesperson told the local outlet: "Palma airport has reactivated its operations after the storm. The first take-offs and landings have already begun, and the diverted flights are expected to land at Palma airport during the afternoon.

Palma airport is said to have seen the worst of the rain, while the rest of the island wasn't nearly as badly affected. Following this, the heaviest rain was reportedly seen in Ibiza.
