Emmanuel Macron has told French voters to avoid their own Brexit moment ahead of election day.

France will go to the polls tomorrow with a stark choice on the ballot: re-elect the president or swing to the far-right.

He said an upset is still possible if enough people don’t vote and allow the challenger to pull off an upset which would destabilise the continent. Opinion polls have the 44-year-old leading but the margin varies significantly, from a massive 15 points in some surveys to low single figures in others. The socialist took 22% of the total, compared to Ms Le Pen’s 23.1% and Mr Macron’s 27.8%, narrowly missing out on progressing to the deciding poll.

French elections: Macron ahead of Le Pen in pollsThe French election seems to be edging in Emmanuel Macron’s favour - if the polls are correct. On the final day of campaigning, his rival Marine Le Pen was in Calais telling voters he was a candidate of the rich for the rich. mattfrei reports. mattfrei Says LePen.. also rich but also a fascist. mattfrei I see the same warning signs I saw in the run up to the EU referendum, everyone thought it couldn't happen, but it did, because the dissatisified low paid and disenfranchised were targeted to vote against their best interests. I predict Le Penn is likely to win.
