Drivers are being warned of potential bank holiday delays and motorway closures with roadworks planned for the region.
They include new motorway barriers on the M6 between junctions 43 and 44 and safety upgrades on the A590 in South Cumbria. Motorists are being urged to plan extra time for their journey with delays expected whilst roadworks are ongoing.M6 - between junctions 43 and 44 Essential upgrades to the centre reserve barrier on the M6 are being made between junctions 43 and 44. The existing barriers along the motorway have reached the end of their serviceable life, meaning an upgrade is necessary.
A590 Foulshaw Moss More than £2million is being invested in safety improvements on the A590 between Foulshaw Moss and junction 36, Crooklands, on the M6. Work started on Monday, February 19 and is expected to continue until May.
