The northbound carriageway of the M1 near Northampton has been closed by a trailer fire. It was first reported by National Highways at 5.44pm on Monday, September 12.
Three lanes - of four - are currently closed between junction 16 and junction 17. Motorists have been warned to expect 24-minute delays on the approach to the incident.and Rescue Service have been called to the scene. On Twitter, National Highways said: "Lanes 1, 2 and 3 are closed on the M1 northbound between J16 and J17 near Northampton due to a trailer fire."@northantsfire are responding at the scene.
