Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service, posting to X, formerly known as Twitter, said: "We currently have crews from Staveley, Bolsover and Buxton along with crews from Notts Fire in attendance at a vehicle fire on M1 Northbound between Junction 29 and 29A. Lane closures are in place, which may affect journey times this morning."

National Highways, posting to X, said: "Three lanes are closed on the #M1 northbound between J29 Chesterfield and J29a Markham Vale due to an HGV fire.
