M1 live updates as Nottinghamshire Police shut motorway both ways

The closure is between junctions 25 and 26 and drivers have been told to find alternative routes. Nottinghamshire Police shared an update on social media.

They said: "We have closed the M1 this evening in both directions between junctions 25 and 26 while officers deal with an incident. Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes." Nottinghamshire Police have since deleted their original post on X about the motorway closure.
