M&S launches a brown polka dot dress to rival Kate Middleton’s sold out Rixo one

When it comes to fashion choices, no one knows how to pick a timeless, classic look quite like Kate Middleton . The Princess of Wales is known for her love of chic, classic dresses, and her collection of midi dresses is enough to make any fashion fan swoon. One of her standout pieces was worn way back in September 2022 as she did the school run with Prince William , and remains one of our favourite off duty looks that she’s ever worn.

The Marks and Spencer launch mirrors the chocolate brown and white polka dot print of Kate’s Rixo dress and has a similar fit and flare silhouette that’s both flattering and comfortable to wear – perfect for a sleek school run look like Kate’s. The M&S dress has a regular cut and short fluttery sleeves similar to the three quarter balloon-style sleeves of the Rixo Izzy dress.

It keeps the midi length of Kate’s Rixo one, ending in a tiered ruffle hemline that adds some movement and a luxe-looking detail to the dress. Although it’s simple and understated enough to be worn for a day running errands or heading out for lunch, it can also be dressed up for more formal occasions in seconds with a pair of kitten heels and a clutch bag.
